The project aims are:

• To set up an innovative management strategy for cultural heritage, capable of integrating, at local level, the process of cultural resource enhancement with other facilities and with the socio-economic structure of the territory, thereby improving the quality of the environment, of the products and of the territorial services;
• to improve both protection and fruition of the Roman heritage as one of the most significant examples of ancient architecture and human transformation of the cultural landscape, as well as a relevant expression of European identity. This will be done by means of an integrated transnational system based on a European catalogue entry and a web site, which promotes and manages a dedicated cultural route graphically based on the Tabula Peutingeriana. The Tabula is the medieval copy of a Roman road map of the IV century, one of the most important itinera which the ancient world has left, and to extend it in various CADSES countries;
• to facilitate co-operation through transnational meetings and conferences between public and private actors from the involved regions on specific issues linked to management and enhancement of archaeological heritage and to local development.
